Description
Knowles Precision Devices (KPD) is looking for a Web Developer with a focus on cloud based web solutions and support to join our collaborative group where respect and openness are at the forefront of our values. Working alongside the business and engineering applications team as a key project member you will be tasked to architect, document, audit and deploy an array of global web applications to streamline the capabilities and productivity of our users.
Reporting Structure: This position will report to the Business Applications Manager.
Location and Travel Detail: This is a remote position , based out of the Eastern US with occasional travel to our US sites.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, design and perform maintenance for both new and existing web applications and sites.
Workflow creation and auditing of user driven systems to proactively encourage self-service.
Manage and curate web applications; transforming user requirements into functional services.
Implement ways to optimize application reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Follow best practices for agile software development; adhering to coding standards, participate in code reviews, analysis and testing.
Documenting and overseeing the technical requirements for our domain website; leaving a blueprint for a scalable futureproof solution.
Work with the IS security team to audit application deployments while ensuring sensitive information is properly secured and in conformance with cyber security guidelines.
Proactively work with stakeholders regarding access, technical issues, and supporting their infrastructure needs.
Research and stay relevant with new technologies to keep our solutions future ready and running strong.
Identify opportunities to leverage your technical expertise and create innovative solutions.
Work as a team member in a highly creative and collaborative environment.
Manage your own time and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
4+ years of experience working in an application development or related environment.
A degree in CS, IS, IT, or equivalent certifications and experience.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills; including MS office proficiency.
Great interpersonal and organizational skills.
Expertise with Azure / AWS cloud services.
Experience developing on premise, web and cloud-based applications.
Technical experience with SQL and server side application support.
Curated applications for marketing, engineering, finance and sales.
Experience with microservices and frameworks such as Golang, Spring Boot, React JS, Angular.
Experience with content management systems such as Sytefinity, Kentico, WordPress.
Basic knowledge of devops tools: git, Docker, github actions/Jenkins.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $75,000 to $95,000.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
